Mr. Gul is Director of Research & Operations and the treasurer at Myeloma Canada Research Network (MCRN), a not-for-profit organization that develops and administers clinical research in Multiple Myeloma and related diseases nationally. He has been integral to MCRN from inception and worked with Canada’s leading investigators and academic centers to establish the MCRN structure. As the Director of Research and Operations, since 2016, Mr. Gul guides the operations and strategic direction of the MCRN.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Toronto, Mr. Gul was recruited by the Multiple Myeloma program at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre to oversee and manage the Multiple Myeloma Research Consortium research projects in Canada and the US. In this capacity, Mr. Gul oversaw development and administration on multi-center clinical trials both nationally and internationally. Mr. Gul completed his Executive Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Frederictonwhile being employed at Princess Margaret. Following his graduation, he was recruited by MCRN as the director of research and operations tasked with developing the organizational infrastructure and the research program.
Working with a variety of stakeholders including pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, academic centers, regulatory agencies and patient groups in both the United States and Canada has given Mr. Gul a wide breadth of experience in corporate management and clinical research administration.
